About the role

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Engineer & Science with Bachelor's degree to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Research and Development Center (ERDC), Coastal & Hydraulic Laboratory (CHL), Coastal Observation & Analysis Branch (COAB), and will be filled as a Research Civil Engineer DB-02 (GS 5-11), Target 04.

This position is Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act. Eligible for situational telework only, including emergency and OPM prescribed "Unscheduled Telework".

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest This recruitment provides promotion opportunity to the DB-04 (GS 12/14) target grade of the position without further competition when selected is eligible and recommended by management.
