About the role

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Term Appointment NTE - Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 13 Months. Extensions may be possible in accordance with guidance on the job announcement.

What you will do

• Recommend updates to installation maps to accurately reflect the addition or removal of buildings and structures.
• Draft justification documents to request the official demolition or disposal of excess installation buildings.
• Examine engineer drawings and project plans to confirm new construction details are ready for official recording.
• Review work orders, transfer and acceptance documents, and new facility contracts to ensure compliance with Federal Management Regulations and Army Regulations.
• Represent the Realty Officer at command meetings to provide expert guidance and answer inquiries on facility management policies.

This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.

This position requires you to submit a Public Financial Disclosure Report (OGE 278) or a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.

Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. When you perform a Civilian Permanent Change of Station (PCS) with the government, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) considers the majority of your entitlements to be taxable. Visit *** for more information.

Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest. Recruitment and relocation incentives may be authorized. Student loan repayment MAY be authorized.

Salary negotiations for those candidates who are new to Federal service may be authorized. Credit for Prior Non-Federal work experience and certain military service for determining annual leave accrual may be authorized. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.

Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Temporary or Term [select one] appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
