About the role

The Training Manager plays a key role in the development and maintenance of a training infrastructure for the Jackson Regional Office by enhancing effectiveness and consistency of training initiatives, enhancing the network of training communication, reducing duplication and enhancing economy of scale, and serving as the point of contact for nationwide training initiatives.

The Training Manager serves as an advisor to the Director of the regional office on training needs in the regional office.

  • Knowledge of procedures for assessing, evaluating and monitoring programs or projects for compliance with Federal laws, regulations and guidance.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

WRITTEN COMMUNICATION: Skill in written communication which includes the preparation of reports, decisions, inquiries, or letters to individuals with varying levels of understanding. REASONING/TRAINING: Ability to independently interpret and apply complex regulations, principles, and concepts to analyze information to make sound conclusions and provide training.

Demonstrated skill in planning, coordinating, conducting, and overseeing training initiatives. EMPLOYEE DEVELOPMENT: Ability to independently plan, develop and apply new program methods, approaches, and technology toward training techniques.

TEAM BUILDING: Ability to motivate others to effectively perform in accomplishing the goals of the Fiduciary Hub in an accurate and timely manner. This includes maintaining effective working relationships with employees, management, veterans, and customers.

PLANNING AND EVALUATING: Ability to establish goals, priorities, plan, control, organize, assess status, identify viable solutions and ability to formulate and implement training.
