About the role

Provides program management support to the Veteran Readiness and Employment (VR&E) Division. This position supports case managers assigned to supervise and assist participants of the VR&E program, which is governed by Chapter 31, Title 38, United States Code. Assistance is required in all phases of the VR&E Division.

Independent decisions to determine an appropriate course of action within the provisions of the VR&E Division are required.

What you will do

  • Assisting in the establishment of VR&E claims, to include but not limited to application processing; checking for dual usage to assist with eligibility processing; scheduling appointments and sending appointment notifications; and completing Generated Eligibility Determination (GED) processing.
  • Responding to inquiries from claimants.
  • Inputting data timely and accurately and keeping VR&E supervisory personnel informed of any problems.
  • Monitoring incoming mail via the Centralized Mail Portal (CMP).
  • Miscellaneous Program Related Tasks.
  • Work Schedule: Full Time, Monday - Friday, core hours to be determined by hiring office.
  • Compressed/Flexible: Available Telework: Yes - This position is eligible for situational (ad hoc) telework only.
  • The selectee is required to report to the official duty station each scheduled workday.
  • Telework may be approved only on a case-by-case basis with supervisory approval.

Education must be accredited by an accrediting institution recognized by the U.S. Department of Education to be credited towards qualifications. What to expect next
