About the role
About the Position: This position is located within the Materiel Systems Organization (MSO) and is one of the Department of the Army's premier support organizations. The MSO encompasses TACOM's total life cycle acquisition responsibilities, providing functional and technical expertise for disciplined program and contract execution.
What you will do
- Serves as an Organic Industrial Base (O1B) Modernization Program Officer within the office of the Tank Automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) Deputy Chief of Staff (DCoS) G4.
- Manages all activities engaged in the acquisition of the modernization projects to include coordination with the associated Government agencies and contractors for the implementation of the project, and to plan, program, and budget.
- Coordinates with Government Organizations to include Financial Management, Logistics and Engineering, Army Acquisition Center (ACC), Program Executive offices and higher Headquarters to support the execution of AMCs 15-Year Modernization Plan.
- Serves as the integrator of the level of efforts to include Human Capital, Energy and Environmental, Cyber/lT integration.
- Conducts and/or directs highly complex reviews and initiates briefing documents which are provided to higher headquarters and other commands with recommendations on the best courses of action.

This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level III (Advanced) in the Acquisition Career Field Program Management) within 48 months of entrance on duty. This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 20% of the time.
