About the Position: U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command is recruiting for a Program Manager (Program Officer Acquisition), NH-0340-04 position.

What you will do

  • Oversees the management and execution of rotary wing projects in the areas of financial management, acquisition, fielding, and logistics to ensure required hardware, software, supplies, and services are delivered for the project.
  • Plan rotary wing project objectives to achieve goals within recognized constraints and standards.
  • Develops regulatory documentation for rotary wing projects to meet project-specific requirements and obtain necessary approvals.
  • Assist in preparing Requests for proposals, Statement of Work, Contract Data Requirements Lists, specifications, acquisition, and evaluation plans to support rotary wing contracting actions.
  • Conduct contractor program reviews to verify performance against contractual obligations.
  • Conducts complex reviews for rotary wing projects to assess project progress as they pertain to cost, schedule, and performance considerations.
  • Brief senior level management on the status of assigned rotary wing programs, developing courses of action and making recommendations to address program cost, schedule, and performance issues.

This position requires a 1 year probationary period during which the agency evaluates your fitness and whether your continued employment advances the public interest.

Continued employment requires written certification that it advances the public interest. Direct deposit of pay is required.

This position requires you to submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report (OGE450) upon entry, and annually thereafter. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.

This is a Critical Acquisition Position. Selectee must execute, as a condition of appointment, a written agreement to remain in Federal service in the position for at least three years. In signing such agreement, the employee does not forfeit any employment rights, nor does such an agreement alter any other terms or conditions of employment.

Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. When you perform a Civilian Permanent Change of Station (PCS) with the government, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) considers the majority of your entitlements to be taxable. Visit *** for more information.

Permanent Change of Station (PCS) allowances may be authorized, subject to the provisions of the Joint Travel Regulations and an agency determination that a PCS move is in the Government Interest. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Relocation/Retention Incentive will not be authorized.

Student Loan Repayment Program (SLRP) will not be authorized. Defense National Relocation Program will not be authorized
