About the role

This position is part of the Y-12 Field Office, Department of Energy. A successful candidate in this position will support the NNSA Y-12 Field Office (YFO) Assistant Manager for Business and Contract Management, providing programmatic direction of the management and operating prime contract for the Y-12 National Security Complex.

What you will do

  • Provide site, program, and project management support associated with contract administration and business management.
  • Provide programmatic direction and technology analysis support the NNSA Y-12 Field Office and a management and operating prime contract with over 8,000employees and an annual budget in excess of $3B.
  • Serve as the point of contact and administrative expert providing staff assistance on matters of administrative management and improvement of program effectiveness.
  • Establish strategic goals and objectives to manage, administer and implement the programs and missions of the Office.
  • Provide authoritative responses to Congressional, State, Federal Agency inquiries, and serves as Agency spokesperson at meetings or conferences with professional groups, national industry organizations, and/or management of the prime Management and Operating (M&O) Contract.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain/maintain a Q level Security Clearance.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
