About the role
You will perform work supporting the Agency on sensitive issues that determine or influence Agency and program policy; responsible for assisting in development, coordination, and evaluation of communication strategies and activities.

- Assists with developing and organizing background information related to policy recommendations, decisions on long-range plans, proposals, and other program operation matters.
- Proactively monitors and tracks emerging and high-profile animal welfare cases to draft responses to public complaints, media requests or other highly sensitive issues.
- Assist with development, coordination, and evaluation of urgent and high-profile communication strategies to ensure program transparency.
- Assists with the development, monitoring, and implementation of strategic plans, initiatives, and special projects.
- Collaborates with various program units to ensure timely and consistent management of program data, and performance tracking and measurement principles.
- Assists in the development of products such as briefings, webinars, fact sheets, informational letters, weekly newsletters, and other communication documents.
