What you will do

- Description: Procurement Analyst in the Policy or Program Support branch of SSC/PKV, serving as a senior contracting and business advisor on complex, high-visibility acquisition actions.
- SSC/PKV provides acquisition and contracting subject matter expertise to the Space Service Acquisition Executive (SAF/SQ), HCA, SCO, Field Command Leadership, Portfolio Acquisition Executives, and the SSC contracting workforce.

- Selected candidates may be assigned to either the Policy or Program Support branch based on organizational needs and applicant experience.
- Position Responsibilities: - Review complex, high-value procurement actions and provide recommendations to improve acquisition strategy, documentation quality, and regulatory compliance. - Advise Chiefs of the Contracting Office and acquisition teams on difficult business and contracting issues affecting priority programs. - Serve as a senior staff resource in policy, program support, or business operations matters requiring sound judgment and enterprise perspective. - Develop and refine HCA- and SCO-level processes, procedures, tools, and guidance to improve acquisition effectiveness. - Build productive working relationships with contracting officers, specialists, program offices, legal counsel, pricing, and senior leaders. - Represent SSC/PKV in internal and external meetings across SSC, USSF, and the Department of the Air Force. - Respond to action items, audits, Congressional inquiries, data calls, and other senior-leader taskings. - Support leadership initiatives to improve acquisition speed, quality, consistency, and mission outcomes.
- Ideal Candidate: - Appropriate Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP) Level certification - Unlimited contracting officer warrant (current or inactive) - Advanced degree in a business-related field (e.g., MBA, JD) - Experience as a contracting and/or agreements officer in complex competitive and sole source acquisitions, contract administration, or other transactions - Deep understanding and subject matter expertise in systems contracting, especially for the space portfolio - Forward-thinking, solution-oriented team player with strong research, analytical, and problem-solving skills - Experience working with and interfacing with senior leaders - Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing - Experience working effectively under pressure and in a dynamic environment
