About the role

What you will do

• Sell postage for various classes of mail and various mail services.
• Advise patrons on domestic and international mail regulations, procedures, services, and fees, assists preparing appropriate forms for mailing items subject to customs examinations.
• Inspect outgoing accountable mail for mailability and process for shipment in accordance with various Regulatory guidance’s.

Additional information

This announcement uses the Non-Competitive Temp/Term Appointment Authority to Meet Critical Hiring Needs in the DoW Direct Hire Authority (DHA) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to certain positions in the competitive service. TEMPORARY APPOINTMENT may be made for up to 1 yr. Appointment may not exceed 12 months total.

Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.

Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Seasonal appointment NTE 90 DAYS. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest.
