- You will be responsible for liaison and support to Federal, state, and local Agency regulations; manuals and standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to law enforcement and security/requirements and disciplines.
- You will maintain law enforcement and safety certifications.

Upon appointment or within permitted scheduling must graduate from a Federal law enforcement training center (FLETC) or from a Navy-accepted law enforcement Police Academy.
You will be required to sign a continuing Service Agreement (CSA) prior to completion of the required Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program (UPTP).
Completion of the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) Uniformed Police Training Program (UPTP) is a condition of employment. Employee will be required to sign a continuing service agreement prior to travel to the academy.
Agreement to continue - CSA, Agency requires 36 months of continued employment after the completion of required training from the FLETC in accordance with Title 5 USC 4108 and 5 CFR410.309.
Failure to voluntarily complete the length of employment requirement can subject employee to reimburse the agency for fees, such as the tuition and related fees, travel, and other special expenses (excluding salary) paid in connection with the training.
Physical Agility Test (PAT): Qualified applicants must pass a pre-hire PAT and are required to pass annually.
This test will be used to screen qualified applicants for entry-level Police Officer positions. All Police Officers will be required to meet the following minimum physical agility test standards pre-hire and annually: Run 1.5 miles in 17:30 minutes Execute 19 push-ups in two minutes This position is covered under the Lautenberg Amendment.
Certain incentives (such as recruitment/relocation) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A relocation incentive is generally a single payment intended to offset some of the relocation costs experienced by the selectee. A relocation incentive may be authorized.
This position is considered a uniformed, Key Emergency Essential position. This position requires day, evening, and midnight shifts. Duties include prolonged standing, walking, and light lifting.
This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
PPP applicants will be placed at the FPL, if determined Well Qualified (WQ). To receive priority consideration, the FPL must be the same grade level or equivalent of the retained grade or the grade held immediately prior to separation.
