About the Position: This position is located at Naval Medical Center San Diego, California. This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed.

What you will do

• Examine, diagnose, treat or prescribe course of treatment for OB/GYN patients including those of an unusually complex and difficult nature.
• Respond to obstetrical and gynecological emergencies as the team leader.
• Perform advanced colposcopy and treatment of dysplasia on OB/GYN patients.
• Administer and prescribe medicine and treatment.
• Guides and directs the work of all personnel during assigned shift or in the absence of regular supervisor.

One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. Position may require employee to wear a uniform and/or protective clothing. Position is designated as Inclement Weather Essential.

The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions. Position is designated as Mission Essential. The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.
