About the role
About the Position: This position is located at Wilford Hall, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. This is an open continuous announcement.

What you will do

- Order and interpret diagnostic and testing procedures to include laboratory and radiological examinations.
- Provide advice by telephone and/or in person to other physicians, non-physician providers, and nursing and para-professional staff on the care of patients with urgent, emergent, and non-urgent medical problems.
- Guide, counsel, and supervise PCMH team personnel to include physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical technicians, and administrative personnel.
- Serve as member of the professional medical staff and complies with hospital plans and policies to meet accrediting agencies' (AAAHC or TJC) requirements.
- Participate in local disaster training exercises as directed by the Chief of the Medical Staff (SGH) or MTF Commander; responds to real-world disaster situations.
