About the Position: This position is with the Defense Health Agency, Madigan Army Medical Center, CBMH Olympia Directorate of Branch Clinics Army Health Clinic Administration, located in Olympia, Washington. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Recruitment or relocation incentives may be authorized for highly qualified candidates.

What you will do

• Serve as a recognized technical authority in Family Medicine and Urgent Care.
• Independently diagnose illnesses, prescribe treatments, and formulate evidence-based care plans Perform crisis interventions and life-saving procedures when necessary.
• Promote preventive care, health maintenance, and patient education to encourage lifestyle changes.
• Collaborate with facility and community resources to deliver multi-disciplinary care Apply new procedures and techniques in evaluating and treating complex cases.
• Conduct research to advance Family Medicine programs and improve care quality.
• Participate in Quality Assurance, peer review, risk management, and performance improvement initiatives.
• Offer guidance to other physicians and medical staff on urgent, emergent, and routine cases.
• Serve on committees, boards, and conferences to evaluate patient care and recommend corrective actions.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. If you are selected for a Physician position: A salary quote will not be provided to you at the time of the initial job offer. The salary determination process begins after the initial job offer is accepted.

This consists of the Activity Compensation Panel adding base pay and market pay to determine your starting salary and this will be provided to you once approved. Salary for physician positions is based on a tier scale, determined by the position specialty, grade, and location. This position has been designated "Mission Essential".

In the event of severe weather conditions or other such emergency type situations the incumbent is required to report to work or remain at work as scheduled to support mission operations.
