About the Position: This position is located at Wilford Hall, Lackland Air Force Base, Texas This is a Direct Hire Solicitation Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized. Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

What you will do

• Provide Occupational Medicine services to employees in various occupations, of various ages, and with various health issues.
• Perform occupational physical examinations of various types including pre-placement, medical surveillance, medical qualification, disability retirement, fitness for duty, and any other special employee examinations.
• Counsel employees on workplace hazards and exam results.
• Interpret ancillary test results for evidence of possible occupational disease or confounding personal health conditions.
• Diagnose and appropriately consult for follow-up evaluations for conditions discovered as a result of the occupational medical examinations.
• Examine personnel to determine fitness for flying and special duties, or to recommend continuance, removal, or return to flying status and aviation service.
• Supervise the work of assigned clinical staff (e.g., Physician Assistants, Nurses, Technicians).
