What you will do

- Manages the daily schedule and calendar of the staff.

- Develops and implements internal administrative procedures and policies for the office.
- The Office Manager evaluates existing workflows and drafts standard operating procedures to streamline operations and ensure office efficiency.
- Acts as the principal point of contact between the Civilian Director, senior leadership ( SES, Flag Officers), and external agencies.
- Screens, evaluates, and resolves complex inquiries, determining which issues require Deputy Director's attention.
- Independently plans and executes special studies and projects assigned by leadership.
- This involves using qualitative and quantitative techniques to analyze administrative data, identify bottlenecks, and present recommendations to improve org.
Education

What to expect next
Application of Veterans Preference: The Category Rating method protects the rights of veterans by placing them ahead of non-preference eligibles within each category.
Preference eligibles who meet minimum qualification requirements and who have a compensable service-connected disability of at least 10 percent must be listed in the highest quality category, except when the position being filled is scientific or professional at the GS-9 grade level or higher.
A selecting official may make selections from the highest quality category (Best Qualified) provided no preference eligible in that category is passed over to select a non-preference eligible in that category unless the requirements of 5 U.S.C. 3317(b) or 3318(b) are satisfied.

Incumbent may be subject to varying work shifts and work shift rotation for mission support requirement of 7 days a week, 24 hours a day, if required by upper management. The Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 makes certain reimbursements/payments taxable.
