About the Position: This position is located in the Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum unit at Irwin Army Community Hospital in Fort Riley, Geary, Kansas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation This is an open continuous announcement. Multiple vacancies exist and may be filled from this announcement at any of the locations listed.

What you will do

• Provide comprehensive professional nursing care to OB/GYN patients and their newborns with medical conditions ranging from routine care to complex complications.
• Develop nursing care plans and procedures, setting standards of care, prescribing special care and identify specific nursing problems for all patients Perform procedures, treatments, and medication administration Provide evidence-based instructions and education to patient/significant other and/or family members/caregivers.
• Assist providers with procedures.

One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.

This recruitment provides promotion opportunity to the target grade of the position without further competition when selectee is eligible and recommended by management. Management may select at any of the grade levels announced.
