About the role
About the Position: This position is with the U.S Army Sustainment Command, 406th Army Field Support Brigade, Logistics Readiness Center, Supply & Services Division at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, Georgia.
What you will do
- Receives and processes a variety of ammunition.
- Stores items in accordance with established storge plan.
- Marks containers in accordance with established procedures.
- Updates magazine data magazine cards with inventory results in accordance with established procedures.
- Updates magazine data cards with daily transaction in accordance with established procedures.
- Issues correct ammunition by lot number to units.
- Operates powered forklift truck (e.g. electric, gasoline, or diesel) to lift loads up to 10,000 pounds.
- Ensures items are loaded on vehicles in accordance with the Department of Transportation (DOT) hazardous materials requirements.

Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 13 months. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.
Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.
