This includes On Scene Commander, Range Residue Removal Manager, and Special Project Manager responsibilities for operational support within the organization.
What you will do

- Coordinates and assists in mission planning and execution to establish, revise, or review UTTR policies and procedures relating to recovery operations (weapons effects, target selection, EOD procedures, environmental impacts, etc.).
- Manages various issues related to munitions on the UTTR IAW DoW, DAF, federal, state and local guidelines, serving as the UTTR Range Residue Manager (Recycle Yard) and coordinating local EOD support.
- Performs role of Test Program Manager for the overall management, control, coordination, and execution of specified customer (external and internal) projects and special programs.
- Performs contract administration and surveillance for the multi-million-dollar UTTR Range Residue Removal (R3) Contract.
- Interacts with internal and external officials and/or customers diplomatically, convincingly, professionally, and promote effective working relationships.
- Prepare reports on time, ensuring they are of high quality to an audience of Air Force senior leaders; including recommendations, meaningful program information, written summaries and results from synthesized data and/or metric analysis.

- If appointed, a DD Form 214 must be submitted upon receipt.

Utah Test and Training Range (UTTR) - UTTR mission is to provide war fighters with a realistic training environment, and conduct DOD Test & Evaluation (OT&E) including tactical development and evaluation supporting large footprint weapon systems to enhance combat readiness, superiority, and sustainability.
Developmental Position: This position is a developmental (e.g.: GS-11 Target GS-12) position. This position may be filled at any grade level. Individual selected may be promoted without further competition, upon meeting all legal and regulatory requirements.
Starting salary indicated on this vacancy announcement is for GS-11 to GS-12. Attainment of knowledge, skills, and abilities is required before promotion to the next higher grade and is dependent on demonstrated ability to perform the duties of the next higher grade level, meeting all regulatory requirements, and recommendation for promotion by the supervisor.
Promotion is neither implied nor guaranteed. This position may be subject to a formalized training program and pay retention of 150% of the maximum rate of the basic pay is authorized for candidates requesting a Voluntary Change to lower Grade.
