Main duties

  • Directly assists the commander/director in the management of all SF W&T program functions for Air Force organizations globally.
  • SF Weapons & Tactics Instructor Course (WTIC) and Graduate management OPR.
  • Conduct assessments in all aspects of multidisciplinary security of DoD weapon systems, which includes interoperability, risk identification and mitigation, incident response, mission assurance, and exercise mission areas.
  • Maintains continuous coordination with Air Staff, other service headquarters, and DoD offices to integrate Air Force Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) support actions.

The primary purpose of this position is to provide expertise in performance of work requiring critical thinking as applied to enterprise-wide strategy, plans, policies, processes, relating to wargames & exercises, plans, defense planning guidance (DPG) scenarios, lessons learned, continuous process improvement (CPI), current/future concepts, and innovation.

This is an acquisition demonstration project position NH-03 equivalent to a GS-12 to GS-13.
