About the role
You will serve as a Maintenance Mechanic with National Park Service, Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, located in Munising Michigan. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis.
You will work for a minimum of 6 months, and you may be in a non-pay status for the remainder of the year based on funding.

- Performs work involving trades such as: masonry, electrical, wastewater and water treatment plant operation, engineering equipment operation, and other lower graded duties.
- The incumbent is responsible for the maintenance, repair and construction of facilities including historic structures and resources, and must have a knowledge of building trades, practices/standards, and building codes.
- Operates heavy equipment such as dump trucks, front end loaders, bulldozers, and skid loaders with limited supervision to complete operations.

Physical Demands: Physical effort is heavy to moderate, and requires occasional lifting or handling of objects or materials up to 50 pounds, unassisted, following proper lifting procedures to avoid injury.
