The United States Attorney's Office for South Carolina's mission is to investigate, prosecute and deter violations of federal statutes, enforce and represent the interests of the United States in civil litigation, uphold civil, constitutional and victims' rights, and foster partnerships with other federal, state and local government agencies and community groups.

- Typical work assignments will include: Processing, organizing, and securely maintaining electronic case files for attorney review, and discovery.
- Creating and managing electronic document databases used to search, tag, sort, redact, and retrieve case information.
- Preparing electronic discovery materials and checking them for accuracy, completeness, proper formatting, and security before release.
- Providing basic technical assistance to attorneys and legal staff using litigation support software and equipment.
- Preparing electronic exhibits and assisting with courtroom presentation software and equipment during hearings, depositions, and trials.
- Responsibilities will increase and assignments will become more complex as your training and experience progress.
Education
