About the position: This position is located at the Industrial Laundry Facility, RAF Alconbury, United Kingdom. It offers 0 guaranteed hours per week and the incumbent may be required to work 0-40 hours per week, as needed. The position requires the ability to frequently lift and carry items weighing up to and over 50 pounds.

What you will do

• Loads, unloads, and transports clean and dirty laundry to and from the laundry facility and customer facilities in a government owned vehicle.
• Operates the delivery truck's powerlift system.
• Receives soiled laundry from base and customer facilities.
• Separates laundry into classes, counts and records numbers of each article, and documents accordingly.
• Loads washers, selects cycle and wash time.
• Removes laundry at the end of the cycle and transfers to dryers.
• Selects dryer cycle and time settings.
• Removes items from dryer and folds or prepares for pressing.
• Items selected for pressing are processed on the mechanical presser, so care must be taken to avoid scorching or burning the items.
• Assists in maintaining records of laundry received, processed, and returned.
• Makes calls as directed for delivery and collection of laundry products.
• Ensures cleanliness of washers, dryers, sinks, laundry carts, and the delivery van.
• Ensures lint traps are cleaned regularly.
• Performs other housekeeping duties as needed.
