About the role

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for DHA for Certain Personnel of DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: Responsible for acquisition, modeling, analysis, & management of spatially referenced data obtained from terrestrial, marine, airborne, & satellite-based sensors in support of planning, design, & construction of civil works projects in the District Area of Responsibility.

What you will do

• Reviews and performs quality assurance of data acquired via in-house or contracted personnel, including review of planning, design, construction, and computer-aided design (CAD), documents for accuracy of geodetic, tidal, and quantity data.
• Resolves geomatics and/or measurement and payment related construction disputes and claims.
• Researches mapping and products while providing scientific, analytical, and technical expertise to district elements for cartographic products, CAD, geographic information systems (GIS), surface/subsurface modeling, and computational support.
• Administers geomatics related architect-engineer (AE) task orders.
