About the role

This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Senior Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure.

It is located in the DISAJ6/C4 Enterprise Directorate.

What you will do

• As a subject matter expert in state-of-the-art cloud and security technologies, performs assignments relating to the analysis, design, development, deployment, configuration, and evaluation of secure cloud architectures at all classification levels.
• Engages with stakeholders to understand mission needs and guides the successful use of Cloud Resources and services.
• Oversees multiple projects executed by the Engineering team, applications and services hosted in Cloud and provides technical guidance to assure optimal security postures are achieved for services and solutions.
• Develops new methods, procedures, techniques, and approaches to ensure consideration of criteria, guidance, and methodology are applied to include in a cloud environment.
• Develops, implements, reviews/improves the Program's approach and delivery methods for Cloud plans, policies, procedures, and processes; in the areas of infrastructure, cloud resource configuration, provisioning aides user support information.

Education

There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-14 grade level.

If you are a current Federal Career/Career-Conditional employee, you will be placed on an Excepted appointment. This appointment does not confer eligibility to be non-competitively converted to an appointment in the competitive service.

A three year trial period may be required if you have not previously completed a trial or probationary period in the excepted or competitive service.
