Main duties

  • You will serve as the Mission Engineering Lead IT Architect serves as the primary Information Technology specialist (Networks) within the Model Based Engineering and Analysis Division.
  • You will provide programmatic leadership in the processes, interfaces, and specific network data through the formalized application of network engineering principles for the division and across departments.
  • You will support network requirements development, architecture, requirements allocation, design, analysis, verification and validation activities, applying network modeling and engineering best practices throughout various program initiatives.

About the role

You will serve as an IT SPECIALIST (NETWORK) in the MODEL BASED ENG & ANALYSIS DIVISION (MXM), RAPID MISSION INTEGRATION & INTEROPERABILITY DEPARTMENT (MX), MISSION ENGINEERING BRANCH (MXMM) of NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-5 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-13 and GS-14.

What you will do

  • You will serve as the Mission Engineering Lead IT Architect serves as the primary Information Technology specialist (Networks) within the Model Based Engineering and Analysis Division.
  • You will provide programmatic leadership in the processes, interfaces, and specific network data through the formalized application of network engineering principles for the division and across departments.
  • You will support network requirements development, architecture, requirements allocation, design, analysis, verification and validation activities, applying network modeling and engineering best practices throughout various program initiatives.
  • You will evaluate network engineering data and network tools to determine the best tool set for implementation of program network objectives while considering integration with larger Navy Enterprise standardization initiatives.
  • You will provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) leadership, mentorship, and training to the information technology and engineering teams.
  • You will provide technical expertise in developing, maintaining, executing, improving, and auditing all networking efforts.
