What you will do

• Researches, interprets, and analyzes public law, congressional reports, DoD/DCAA directives/instructions, emerging policies, and investigative trends.
• Conducts independent assessments of the design, implementation, and/or results of agency's operations, programs or policies.
• Conducts initial review of inquiry or referral and preliminary analysis to determine allegations, issues, nature and scope, and whether matter(s) should be resolved by OIG or in conjunction with or within another office within DCAA.
• Ensures that all documentation and reports are of acceptable quality in content, technical sufficiency, completeness, and compliance with law, regulation and policy.
• Independently plans, arranges and executes all aspects of investigative and inspection actions for inquiries and complaints.

Requirements

• You will be subject to random drug testing.
• Background Investigation: All selectees will be subject to a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI).
• You must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance eligibility at the Top Secret level.

Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: There is no substitution of education for experience at this grade level.

How you will be evaluated

If a determination is made that you have inflated your qualifications, you will be assigned a rating commensurate with your background. Your final score will be used to determine if you are among the best qualified candidates.

What to expect next

Once your application is received, you will receive an acknowledgement email. You will subsequently receive an email notice of your rating and whether you were referred to the hiring manager as best qualified. Qualified candidates eligible for non-competitive reassignment, repromotion, change to lower grade, transfer or reinstatement will also be referred.

Performance Appraisal: If you are a current Federal employee, you must be rated fully successful or higher on your current performance rating to be eligible for promotion.
