About the role

This position is located in the Human Resources Service Center (HRSC). The HRSC provides the full spectrum of Human Resources services for all VACO Staff Offices in Washington DC and outlying areas.

This position serves as the HR Specialist HR Development for the HRSC and is responsible for identifying knowledge/competency gaps and developing and administering training and development to remedy those needs to include the needs of our internal customers and HR Liaisons that support our mission.

What you will do

  • Monitor key performance indicators to identify areas of potential competency gaps.
  • Develop training based on needs assessments and workforce trends.
  • Review priorities and objectives though analyzing and evaluating data to include turn over, time to hire, entrance and exit surveys workforce planning and customer surveys.
  • Develop initiatives within HR to ensure priorities within each facility are aligned with gathered Data.
  • Create formal and informal presentations outlining the history, status and objectives of functional responsibilities.
  • Work with individual employees as needed to promote individual and organizational development through training programs.
  • Manage special projects as directed and develops and implements new initiatives and projects to strengthen, facilitate and integrate services.
