FLIGHT ENGINEER (INSTRUCTOR)

About the role

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a FLIGHT ENGINEER (INSTRUCTOR), Position Description Number D0606000 and is part of the KS AASF 1, National Guard.

What you will do

• As a FLIGHT ENGINEER (INSTRUCTOR), GS-2185-10, you will instruct and perform flight crew work supporting UH 60A Black Hawk transport helicopter.
• Serve as instructor/flight examiner providing instruction, evaluation and examination on ground and operational training flights to develop and upgrade skills of aircrew members.
• Serve under the supervision of Chief, Training Operations, who provides general guidance on overall objectives to be achieved.
• Incumbent independently carries out work in accordance with existing guidance and established procedures depicted in operations manuals, safety directives, maintenance schedules orders and manuals, command directives and local operating procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Prefer a graduate of the US Army Non-rated crew member Flight Instructor/Standardization Instructor Course.

Must possess a valid Army medical flying status clearance prior to appointment.

What to expect next
