About the role

About the Position: The U.S. Military Entrance Processing Command, headquartered in North Chicago, IL, is a jointly staffed command, staffed by representatives of all branches of the Armed Forces.

The command, through its 66 military processing locations (Military Entrance Processing Stations (MEPS)/Remote Processing Stations (RPS)), determines whether applicants are qualified for enlistment based on standards set by each of the services. This is a Permanent position.

What you will do

  • Analyze financial data or information from a variety of automated systems.
  • Utilize financial data from several automated systems to perform complex analysis of transactions.
  • Analyze automated system outputs to identify potential problems or trends.
  • Monitor the travel card accounting policy for the organization.
  • Advise managers on financial matters to meet mission requirements.
  • Reconcile or review unliquidated obligations, unfilled orders and minor appropriations.
  • Review financial documentation to ensure accuracy and funding availability.
  • Prepare and analyze financial reports (i.e., quarterly reports, year-end status reports, obligation flash reports, etc.).
