About the role

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range & Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.

About the Position: Serves as a senior Electrician (WG-11) performing engineering, installing, repairing, and troubleshooting complex electrical systems, also working with PLCs, generators, and controls across the depot.

What you will do

• Serves as an Electrician to include engineering, installing, modifying, repairing, and troubleshooting (by tracing and locating defects) Troubleshoots components and disassembles, repairs, and reassembles complete devices and subassemblies of various electrical systems.
• Inspects, cleans, repairs and maintains lighting, heating, emergency power control, and wiring systems; and checks for proper operation of electrical equipment.
• Assembles/Disassembles electrical, mechanical systems, subsystems, standby and related equipment to determine extent of repairs, overhaul and/or replacement parts needed.
• Fabricates custom parts, substitutes components, and modifies hardware (e.g., brackets, cables, clamps) to rapidly repair equipment, minimize system outages, and ensure safe operations.
