About the role

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Garrison-Hawaii, Directorate of Public Works (DPW). Hawaii is a beautiful state, but has a high cost of living.

What you will do

• You will be responsible for completing installations, modifications, repairs and testing of systems, circuits, equipment and controls.
• You will be responsible for planning and laying out routing, placement and arrangement of system circuits, controls and equipment.
• You will be responsible to arrange and install various gauges, sizes, and types of wire, conduit, couplings, fittings, relays, boxes, circuit breakers, and other electrical devices in ways that ensure proper and safe operation of systems.
• You will interpret and apply building plans, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and engineering drawings and use formulas basic to the trade to figure voltage and resistance.
• You will perform grounding electrode system installation and repair usually consisting of primary grounding electrodes and secondary electrodes.
