About the role

This is Public Notice for positions being filled under the Direct Hiring Authority (DHA) for Domestic Defense Industrial Base Facilities and Major Range and Test Facilities Base, NDAA 1125 (a) and (c).

About the Position: Performs a wide variety of professional and scientific electrical and electronic assignments under administrative supervision of the Chief of the Ammunition Equipment Section.

What you will do

  • Evaluate various alternate methods as to engineering soundness, adequacy, feasibility, cost, etc., and makes determinations and recommendations.
  • Plan, conduct, and coordinate various fields of engineering involved in the design and development of equipment systems.
  • Devise new and improved techniques for attaining technical solutions to complex problems.
  • Design, modify and fabricate ammunition machines.
  • Determine methods to develop, test, and operate a variety of specialized systems designed to permit evaluation of munitions effectiveness by simulation.
  • Design or modify various complex electrical and electronic systems and equipment used to renovate, demilitarize, demolition and maintenance of high explosives, chemical and small arms ammunition and components.
  • Plan, develop, and advise on available and proposed electrical and electronic power services for local use by the serviced organization.
  • Analyze and evaluate electrical power capabilities in existing and proposed equipment, processes, and computer systems.

One-year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.
