The Bureau of Labor Statistics measures labor market activity, working conditions, price changes, and productivity in the U.S. economy to support public and private decision making. This position is located in the Bureau of Labor Statistics, Office of Prices and Living Conditions.

- Conduct research to improve Consumer Expenditure (CE) processing systems, methodologies, and procedures to generate efficiencies and improve data quality.
- Identify data problems and develop quantitative or qualitative solutions.
- Prepare clear technical documents, reports, presentations, statements of work, and summaries.
- Deliver presentations to internal and external Consumer Expenditure (CE) data users.
- Provide technical direction on methodological, economic, and statistical issues.
