- This individual will drive transformation across the Space Force logistics and sustainment enterprise, modernizing how the service equips and sustains the force for tomorrow's missions.
- The ideal candidate brings a blend of technical depth and strategic breadth, experience leading weapons system sustainment reviews and making weapons system infrastructure investment decisions, developing data-driven decision tools, paired with an appetite for pioneering new frontiers like on-orbit logistics.
- A background spanning traditional life-cycle logistics and emerging space sustainment concepts is highly valued, as is a demonstrated ability to identify and mitigate supply chain vulnerabilities before they become mission risks.
- Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate has demonstrated experience leading weapon system sustainment or life-cycle management, with direct involvement in weapons system reviews or equivalent sustainment health assessments.
- Possesses familiarity with weapons system infrastructure and sustainment planning.
- Experience building or leading data integration initiatives to develop a common operating picture or enterprise analytics capability.
- Direct exposure to supply chain risk management, ideally including single-point-of-failure analysis, foreign dependency mapping or industrial base vulnerability assessments.
- Track record of leading large-scale organizational transformation, not just participating in it.
- Bachelor's degree required (engineering, logistics, supply chain management, systems engineering or related technical field); advanced degree preferred (MBA, MS Logistics/Systems Engineering or national security focused).
- Technical Skills: data analytics fluency - comfortable directing the build of dashboards and predictive sustainment tools; working knowledge of supply chain risk frameworks; familiarity with emerging on-orbit servicing, assembly and manufacturing concepts and programs.
- The ideal candidate will bring a minimum of 10 years of progressive, senior-level leadership experience directing complex logistics and sustainment operations.
- They must demonstrate a commanding track record of developing logistics support for operational plans, navigating contested-environment sustainment, and executing multi-million-dollar defense budgets through the PPBE/POM cycle.
- A proven history of leading cohesive military and civilian teams and integrating logistics efforts with enterprise partners is essential.
- A deep working knowledge of DoD financial guidelines is required.
- Professional credentials and Defense Life Cycle Logistics certifications are highly desirable.

- Expertise in Joint Logistics Planning: Expert knowledge of joint and service logistics doctrine, theories, and principles, with the demonstrated skill to apply this knowledge to the Joint Operation Planning Process (JOPP).
- The ability to develop and integrate detailed sustainment concepts into strategic and operational-level plans (OPLANs/CONPLANs) and policy.
- Executive Leadership and Personnel Management: Skill in leading, managing, and mentoring a diverse organization of military and civilian personnel.
- This includes the ability to set strategic direction, manage organizational resources, and develop a workforce to effectively meet the command's long-term logistics and sustainment requirements.
- Skill in Logistics Resource Management: Comprehensive skill in managing the fiscal, materiel, and contracting aspects of a logistics enterprise.
- This includes deep knowledge of the DoD's PPBE process, supply chain management, property accountability regulations.
- Ability to Synchronize Multi-Domain Logistics: Ability to direct and synchronize complex, interrelated logistics functions (e.g., distribution, maintenance, engineering, and supply) across a joint, multi-domain environment.
- This includes the ability to de-conflict priorities and integrate capabilities to ensure a unified and resilient sustainment posture.
- Skill in Data-Driven Sustainment Analysis: Skill in analyzing logistics data and readiness metrics to assess operational risk, determine sustainment feasibility, and develop data-driven Courses of Action (COAs).
