About the role

About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the Eagle's Rest Inn on Dover Air Force Base. As a FLEX employee you may work anywhere between 0-40 hrs. per week on an as needed basis.

What you will do

  • Plans for the use of workers, equipment, facilities, materials and tools needed to accomplish the job.
  • Accountable to management for the quantity and quality of work performed and for ensuring efficient and economical work operations.
  • Plans, schedules, and coordinates work operations while adhering to work priorities, project schedules, resources, and work plans established by higher-level supervisors.
  • Assigns, directs, and reviews the work of subordinates.
  • Observes work in progress resolving problems and adjusting as necessary to meet schedules.
  • Inspects completed work for quantity and quality of work performed.
  • Explains and gains the support of subordinates for management policy, programs, and goals.
  • Hires, promotes, motivates, disciplines, and separates subordinates.
  • Approves or disapproves leave schedules and/or other absences from work.
  • Supports the objectives of AF-wide programs and policies such as labor-management relations and equal employment opportunity.
  • Advices and counsels subordinates on improving performance.
  • Investigates grievances and complaints and assures safety and housekeeping practices are observed.
  • May perform duties of custodial worker.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Individual must fully meet qualification/eligibility/background requirements for this position. U.S. Citizens and Non-U.S. Nationals who have resided in the U.S. Territory for three (3) or more consecutive years immediately preceding the start of Federal Affiliation or a signed memorandum indicating the installation's decision on the 3-year residency requirement.

Male applicants born after December 31, 1959 must be registered for Selective Service. Direct deposit is required. Satisfactorily complete an employment verification (E-Verify) check.

A probationary period may be required. Pre-employment requirements must be satisfactorily met prior to Entrance on Duty (EOD). Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government's interest.
