About the Position: This position is located at Darnell Army Medical Center, Fort Hood, Texas. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. A recruitment or relocation incentive may be authorized.

Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service. Student Loan repayment may be authorized.

What you will do

• Provide individual, couples, marital, and family counseling services using evidence based therapeutic methods to support healthy relationship and family functioning.
• Develop individualized treatment plans determine appropriate therapeutic interventions or referrals.
• Provide in service training and consultation to behavioral health, primary care, and specialty staff on family systems, crisis intervention, and related topics.
• Participate in program development by evaluating community needs, planning services, and supporting outreach and education efforts.
• Lead or participate in interdisciplinary collaboration efforts, building partnerships and forums to address evolving family needs across the installation.
• Conduct thorough clinical assessments using interviews, observations, and standardized tools to identify relationship and family concerns.
• Monitor progress throughout treatment and adjust therapeutic approaches to improve outcomes.

Education

One year trial/probationary period may be required. Direct Deposit of Pay is required. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees.

Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest. Position may be designated as Inclement Weather Essential. The incumbent must make every attempt to report for work on time and/or remain on duty during severe weather conditions.

Position may be designated as Mission Essential. The incumbent will be required to report to work during times of contingency operations, natural disasters, extreme weather or other emergency situations.
