About the role

This position is located at the Bayne-Jones Army Community Hospital within Fort Polk, LA. This Direct Hire Authority(DHA) solicitation is utilized to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes.

What you will do

  • Perform psychological and bio-psychosocial evaluations, using expert knowledge of general and specific concepts, principles, procedures, and practices relating to clinical psychology.
  • Screen and interview patients.
  • Provide timely and succinct feedback regarding consultations findings and recommendations.
  • Use objective and measurable outcomes to evaluate treatment effectiveness and make adjustments if appropriate for increased compliance and efficacy.
  • Provide oversight for classes that promote education and skill-building to enhance psychological and physical health, and promote behavioral change related to improved health status.

Education

FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.

Non-Federal work experience may be creditable for leave purposes. Selection is subject to restrictions resulting from Department of Defense referral system for displaced employees. Salary includes applicable locality pay or Local Market Supplement. Payment of Permanent Change of Station (PCS) costs is not authorized, based on a determination that a PCS move is not in the Government interest.
