About the Position: This position is located in the Psychology Services at Southcom in Doral, Florida.

The primary purpose is to provide a team-based approach to healthcare by integrating behavioral health providers and registered nurses into Primary Care Clinics to deliver evidence-based biopsychosocial assessment, treatment, prevention and management of behavioral health problems and conditions. Working hours 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.

What you will do

• Apply biopsychosocial evaluations to propose behavioral health interventions.
• Provide evidence-based treatment, including behavioral, cognitive, and motivational approaches.
• Provide primary care providers and staff regular and concise feedback on the status of referred patients, to include recommendations for team-based care.
• Implement psychoeducational classes to target high frequency diagnoses found in the primary care clinic.
• Document information in the electronic health record during patient encounters.
• Utilize objective behavioral outcome measures to evaluate treatment progress and contribute to program effectiveness.
• Educate clinical staff and patients on the principles of primary care behavioral health and promoting healthy lifestyle behaviors.
• Conduct rapid assessments and developing brief, problem-focused treatment plans for beneficiaries with acute and chronic mental health and behavioral medicine conditions in a fast-paced clinical environment.
