About the role

This position is located inside of the Terror Club and Cafe Lah at Naval Support Activity Singapore.

What you will do

  • Responsible for completing sales transactions, operating a cash register, accounting for sales receipts, and providing customer service.
  • Perform all types of cash register transactions (cash, charge, check, etc.) in a procedurally correct manner.
  • Maintains change fund and accounts for sales.
  • Completes daily activity report (DAR) at the end of assigned shift.
  • Communicates effectively and knowledgably with customers in regard to products being sold.
  • Assures that tables/work surfaces are promptly cleared and cleaned.
  • Clean other work areas to include walls, floors, equipment, and storage areas.
  • Accepts food orders from patrons and may serve alcoholic beverages.
  • Spot checks the guest checks to ensure that the information recorded is correct.
  • Follow all safety, security, and good housekeeping rules.
  • Perform other duties as required and assigned.

This position does not have an education qualification requirement.

Your application will be screened for the following minimum qualifications: 3 months general experience OR High School Diploma Applicants who meet the minimum qualifications will be further evaluated for: Experience in cash handling Clerical experience Customer service experience

  • If claiming Military Spouse or Family Member Preference: provide a copy of PCS orders and Family Entry Approval (Military) or Sponsor's Letter of Employment (Civilian) AND a copy of marriage certificate.
  • If claiming Veteran's Preference: provide a copy of your DD-214, Member-4 page and any supporting documentation (SF-15, V.A. disability letter, proof of service, etc.).
  • If a current or former Federal Employee: provide a copy of your most recent Personnel Action Report (PAR) or SF-50.
  • Proof of education/training: provide a copy of your awarded/conferred college transcript(s) if claiming education consideration.

Additional information

Selection may be tentative pending the completion of the satisfactory employment reference checks. Selectee may be required to complete a one (1) year probationary period. Participation in the Direct Deposit/Electronic Fund Transfer is required.
