About the role

THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 INDEFINITE EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION.

This National Guard position is for a BUSINESS MANAGER, Position Description Number D0976000 and is part of the CO CFMO, National Guard. The primary purpose of this position is to analyze and direct supply, service, and/or construction contract programs characterized by high dollar costs and extending over long time periods.

What you will do

• Plans, organizes, directs, controls and reviews the full spectrum of complex purchasing and contracting operations and resources; to assure that all required services and materials are acquired for new and existing ARNG facilities and programs in a timely manner and in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Analyzes and oversees the full range of contract management duties for pre-award through post-award and contract close-out.
• Prepares for, conducts or attends numerous meetings with high-level officials throughout all phases of assignments.
• Serves as the CFMO's principal authority in all contracting matters and advises the CFMO and other senior officials and staff on procurement matters concerning current and future plans regarding complex contracts and their effect on long term projects and programs.
• Administers, plans, coordinates, and directs the activities of subordinate personnel.
• Oversees day-to-day operations for the CFMO and acts as a liaison between both State and Federal Human Resource Office's.
• Responsible for tracking and ensuring all personnel actions take place.
• Oversees all logistical requirements for the CFMO.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education

Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience - Successful completion of a full 4-year course of study in any field leading to a bachelor's degree, in an accredited college or university, meets 6 months Specialized Experience.

Per ARNG-HRH Policy Memorandum #10-39, mandatory Full Time Staff (FTS) training is required within a year of hire as a condition of employment in vacancy announcements for both Technician and Active Guard Reserve positions.

Failure of new FTS personnel to complete NGB prescribed courses at PEC within the first year of employment may be cause for reassignment to other full time positions or termination of their employment. 9. We use E-Verify to verify the identity and employment eligibility of all persons hired.

10. Unless stated otherwise: If this position is posted as an Indefinite Technician, it may be converted to Permanent without further competition dependent upon budgetary and resource constraints. Employees who are appointed as INDEFINITE tenure may be terminated with a 30-day notice.
