BUDGET ANALYST

About the role

This is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted position for a BUDGET ANALYST, Position Description NumberPDD2656000, and is part of the SC HQ 218TH REGT LDR TNG BDE, South Carolina Army National Guard.

What you will do

• This position is located in the Directorate of Resource Management (DRM) of an Army National Guard Garrison Training Center (GTC) Level III/IV and above.
• The purpose of this position is to serve as a financial advisor to the Base Operations Manager, providing technical assistance concerning the overall fiscal management program including preplanning, budgeting, programming, funds allocation, procurement, commercial accounts management, payrolls, accounting, internal controls, auditing, and reporting.
• Assists the Base Operations Manager in determining the significance of management decisions on financial plans and other fiscal matters.

Education

Army National Guard and Air National Guard Officers GS-11 and GS-12 Positions: An undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university is mandatory. A graduate degree from an accredited civilian academic college or from an equivalent professional military education school is optimum.

Army National Guard Warrant Officers GS-09 and GS-12 Positions: Must have a high school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma. An undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university is optimum Army National Guard Enlisted GS-09 through GS-12 Positions: Must have a high school diploma or general education development (GED) diploma.

An undergraduate degree from an accredited college/university is optimum Substitution of Education for Specialized Experience: To qualify for GS-0560 dual status technician positions on the basis of completed undergraduate or graduate education, the college degree education must be in one of -or- be a combination of the following required disciplines: Accounting, business, finance, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organizational management.

Technician applicants, who completed the Army or the Air Force Financial Technical School course and were awarded the applicable and compatible military skills, are considered minimally qualified for the GS-07 or GS-09 entry-level position.
