About the role

This position is part of the Export-Import Bank of the US - Office of the Inspector General (OIG). The incumbent will be responsible for performing audits, and other reviews of programs and activities of EXIM to assess economy, efficiency, and effectiveness; program results; compliance; and financial reliability.

Duties at the GS-11 and GS-12 grade levels will be performed under closer supervision.

  • The auditor is responsible for performing a variety of audit work that requires the application of well-established auditing principles, theories, concepts, and practices.
  • The following duties are performed at the full performance level of this position: Perform analysis tasks that are complex and require application of a variety of audit techniques and methodologies, as well as specific industry knowledge and auditor creativity.
  • Prepare audit working papers and ensure that documentation fully supports audit results and comply with professional standards.
  • Develop audit scope, methodologies, schedules, work assignments, itineraries, and work-steps.
  • Prepare draft audit reports that communicate findings and recommendations in a clear and concise manner.

  • Suitable for Federal employment, determined by background investigation.
  • Direct Deposit of pay is required.

How you will be evaluated

Due Weight Consideration is a review process used to provide consideration to performance appraisals and awards submitted with each application on a used merit promotion certificate and factoring the results into the merit promotion selection process.

Please submit 1) a copy of your most recent performance appraisal/evaluation and 2) a list of any awards (e.g. superior performance awards, special act or achievement awards, quality step increase, etc.) you received in the last 5 years. Any performance appraisal/evaluation and award documentation you provide will be forwarded to the selecting official.

The selecting official will review this documentation and give it due weight consideration during the overall selection process. If you do not have your most recent performance appraisal/evaluation, please submit a statement as to why it is not available. Please indicate if any prior performance appraisals/evaluations were at an acceptable level.
