About the role
This position is part of the Riverside Indian School, Bureau of Indian Education. The Assistant Principal works under the direct supervision of the Principal and will be assigned responsibilities for coordination and supervision of complete sections of the school organization.
This position requires YEAR LONG CONTRACT per Public Law 95-561 and will require contract renewal on an annual basis. This position IS NOT suitable for telework or remote consideration under any circumstances.

- The incumbent is responsible for maintaining good relationships based on common understanding among teachers, parents, and pupils.
- Within the limits of the annual budget allocations for the school and combined special projects, is responsible for being involved and aware of expenditures for school operations.

- Probationary period is an extension of the appointment process and therefore requires the agency to determine if continued employment would advance the public interest, meet the organization goals and mission of the agency, and/or otherwise promote the efficiency of the service.
- Probationary period is three full contract terms during which your fitness and continued employment will be evaluated.
- Initial appointments under Public Law 95-561 do not confer competitive nor career status.
