This job opportunity is for an AIRCRAFT PNEUDRAULIC SYSTEMS MECHANIC, position description D0097000, within the 177th MXS of the NJ NG. This vacancy announcement is a Title 32, Excepted Service position.

This technician position serves as a Pneudraulic Svstem Mechanic within a fuel systems shop responsible for inspection, repair and maintenance of aircraft fuel cells, water injection, anti-detonant injection (ADI), and inflight refueling systems.

What you will do

• Perform leak checks of aircraft fuel systems by visual inspection or by removal of panels Repair, reassemble, and install fuel system components Perform operational and functional checks to insure proper operation Participate in various types of readiness evaluations

Requirements

• Area III Title 32 Only, Members of the New Jersey National Guard.
• Military Grades: E-3 to E-6 Additional Requirements: Participation in direct deposit is mandatory May be required to successfully complete a probationary period Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service You may be required to successfully complete a 1- or 2- year probation/trial period to assess performance, conduct, agency needs, public interest, and efficiency.
