- This position is located in the Logistics function of an ARNG Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF).
- This is an Army National Guard (ARNG) Dual Status Technician position requiring military membership, compatible military skill assignment, and classification.
- The purpose of this position is to act as an aircraft mechanic with responsibility for certifying airworthiness and managing the operational readiness of one or more aircraft, and proficiency training of supported aviation unit personnel.
- Responsibilities include detailed technical oversight of individual aircraft's level of mission capabilities and operational readiness IAW Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), Code of Federal Regulation (CFR) title 14 Part 43 rules governing the maintenance, preventive maintenance, rebuilding and alteration of aircraft having a U.S. airworthiness certificate as well as guidelines and projection of maintenance requirements per the UH-72A Program Office to maintain individual aircraft operational readiness, ensuring aircraft meet airworthiness compliance as stipulated within the Army's UH-72A Continued Airworthiness Maintenance Plan (CAMP).
- Duties: Manages, monitors or performs overall maintenance within the CAMP and FAA framework, servicing, inspections and documentation for one or more highly technical, high performance UH-72A military aircraft.
- Requests maintenance services exceeding AASF capabilities or time constraints.
- Controls and performs work assignments based upon priorities, workload availability of UH-72A parts, facilities, material and personnel.
- Maintains UH-72A aircraft under FAA and manufacturer guidelines and conducts inspections IAW Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) maintenance publications and special inspection criteria as outlines in FAA, OEM and Army maintenance and safety messages.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Knowledge of the UH-72A aircraft systems and components in electrical, fuel, hydraulic, environmental and mechanical principles.
