About the role

What you will do

  • Researches and/or analyzes problems, issues, or program requirements, e.g., tracks and analyzes various spending trends.
  • This is a Code 4 supervisory position.
  • Although supervising others is not a major duty, it may be performed up to 15% of the time.
  • Determines pertinent Issues and communicates with colleagues, agency management, and contacts outside the agency to gather and analyze information and develop recommendations and proposals.
  • Coordinates the timely filing of annual and quarterly reports for the laboratory/Branch/Office across the full range of administrative management functions.
  • Researches, compiles, and summarizes cost data for use in the formulation of annual budget estimates for the Laboratory/Branch/Office.
  • Reviews procurement requests for adequacy of purchase descriptions and justifications, compliance with applicable regulations, and procurement restrictions.
  • Assists managers with recruitment, including the referral of job candidates, the selection process, and notification of applicants.

To be considered well qualified for the purposes of the Career Transition Assistance Program (CTAP), you must be able to satisfactorily perform the duties of the position upon entry and substantively exceed the basic qualifications by scoring at least 80 points on the assessment(s) and meet all eligibility, physical, medical, suitability, and all other requirements.

What to expect next

This position is designated as a "non-emergency/teleworker" position and the selected candidate will be considered a "non-emergency/teleworker" employee.
